KMWE nominated for William Pijnenburg Award
KMWE is nominated
During the annual members meeting of Brainport Industries College on June 19th, the nominees were announced for the William Pijnenburg Award 2024. There were four nominees this year. Each nominee represents one of the four regions within Brainport. According to the jury, all have an active role model as one of the driving forces in their region.
We are proud to announce that KMWE has been nominated for the 2nd consecutive year.
William Pijnenburg Award
The award represents commitment to technology promotion, employment opportunities and the training of future technical talent. The ‘Infinity Symbol’ of the award therefore stands for continuity and connection.
The Award is presented annually to a member of the Brainport Industries College that excels in the area of participation by educating BBL graduate students, the professionals of the future.
The Award is dedicated to William Pijnenburg (CEO AAE). As secretary of the Board and BI commissioner Teclab William was closely involved in educating young people and developing skills in the Brainport region. As a tribute to William the award is named after him, with effect from 2017.
Award ceremony
In the coming period, the jury will visit the nominated companies and assess them further. This year, the jury consists of Anke Meuffels on behalf of the industry organizations: FME-CWM and the Royal Metal Union, Peter Manders on behalf of the trainers in MBO education: Summa Techniek and ROC Ter AA, Yvonne van Mierlo.
During the Brainport Industries Annual Congress on 10 October 2024, Manon Pijnenburg will proudly present the award to the new winner on behalf of the family.
