Innovation project Digital Factory of the Future has started
Kick-off of the innovation project “Digital Factory of the Future”
The kick-off of the innovation project “Digital Factory of the Future” took place on January 29th at the Brainport Industries Campus in Eindhoven. In this project, industrial companies and knowledge institutes are developing new ways to better use and share data about machines, processes and products.
Smart Industry
With the help of new technology, such as artificial intelligence, it will be possible to analyze data better and faster, and to convert it into valuable information or to develop new revenue models.
Digitization
The competitive position of industrial companies is increasingly determined by the extent to which they cooperate in the design, manufacture and maintenance of products. Data on these processes must therefore increasingly be shared ‘beyond the factory walls’. Consequently, digitisation is an important prerequisite for sharing, processing and applying data efficiently and in a controlled manner within a network.
Participants of this Innovation Project
KMWE is one of the participants in this project. Other participants: Brainport Industries, Fontys Hogescholen, IJssel Technologie, Omron, Additive Industries, De Cromvoirtse, DMG Mori, Engie, Fujitsu Glovia, Itility, PDM Group and Neways Electronics. Together these partners represent the various parties in the chain.
The project has a duration of 3 years and a budget of € 3.5 million.
